Award-winning exhibition and visitor centre covering the remains of a large third century Roman villa, once the centre of a rich and prosperous farming estate. The villa is now mostly covered by a new £3 million visitors centre, and there are mosaic floors and display cabinets of well preserved relics of Roman occupation.

Five of the rooms in the main villa house have mosaics, depicting scenes of Roman fables and characters, and reflect the wealth and education of the occupants. The cockerel headed man mosaic has recently been restored.

As a heritage charity, education is at the core of our objectives. Brading Roman Villa is a valuable opportunity for schools, colleges and universities to fully experience Roman life in Britain. Guided tours on request.
