A steam train travelling through the Isle of Wight countryside

Steam train© IW Tourism

Travel as your Great Grandad did. Beautifully restored Victorian and Edwardian carriages and locomotives accurately re-create the bygone age of steam train travel on the Isle of Wight, when the local community relied on its railway for the conveyance of goods and livestock as well as passengers.

Great care has been taken to retain the unique atmosphere of the Island's once extensive railway network, and visitors are truly fascinated by the quaint vintage trains that operate this multi-award winning, 5 mile long rural railway.

Trains run on selected days from March to October and tickets give unlimited travel for the whole day. Why not travel in style like royalty and go first class.
