The Isle of Wight Zoo is situated along the eastern coastline of this attractive Island. Standing within a Napoleonic fort, the zoo is home to over 20 tigers, including a rare white tigress, and various other big cats. Also residing at the zoo are several species of lemurs and monkeys, amongst other mammals and birds, reptiles and invertebrates.

With our Comprehensive talks and tours, you will have the opportunity to further your knowledge of many of our individual animals and find out why their species are becoming endangered in the wild. Here you will have the chance to talk informally with the animal staff and gain an insight into our work.

New for 2010 is the Zoo@Home handling zone, giving younger visitors a chance to gets hands-on with smaller animals.

If you feel peckish after watching the animals being fed, you can visit our Cub's Den snack bar. Children are free to let of steam in our play area or meet the inhabitants of our Pet's Corner. Before you leave, visit our Zoofari Gift Shop, where you will find numerous quality gifts and souvenirs.
