With its long seafaring history, Cowes is the world's premier yachting centre. Throughout the year, the town is a favourite destination for thousands of visitors, many of them participating in or following the great sport of sailing.

Just a few paces away and facing the entrance to Cowes Yacht Haven is the ideally situated Anchor Inn. Dating back to 1704, it is reputedly the oldest pub in Cowes. The inn serves traditional and contemporary food, offers a wide range of real ales and has an extensive wine list. Live entertainment every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday night.
