Castle Inn – High Street, Newport

Licensed since 1550, the oldest pub in Newport now brings a taste of European and South American tapas to the Isle of Wight. In the evening, a feel of the Mediterranean gently falls over the restaurant, as candlelight softens the warm and vibrant interior décor. All dishes are freshly prepared to order using local produce and special dietary requirements are catered towards. A courtyard garden features an array of palms and tropical foliage, providing a lovely outdoor setting for lunch on sunny days.

Dairyman's Daughter – Arreton, near Newport

The Dairyman's Daughter is a characterful village pub within the fascinating Arreton craft village, on the main road between Newport and Sandown. On offer are some scrumptious victuals including freshly prepared, home-cooked fare made using locally sourced produce wherever possible. Eight real ales, as well as a broad range of prime ales, wines, ciders and spirits are available. The pub hosts several events throughout the year, including the popular Sweetcorn Fayre with our own beer festival.
